Responsibilities
- Define and uphold measurement rigor for evaluation signals, ensuring confidence in deployment and scaling decisions and resolving gaps in evaluation signals.
- Develop and adapt the evaluation framework to accommodate road rules across multiple countries.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and systems engineering leads to unlock key Waymo deployment milestones and inform roadmaps for measurement capabilities.
- Measure the performance of the Waymo driver in new territories and hardware platforms, providing input on market readiness and communicating findings to senior stakeholders.
- Act as a technical contributor and a technical lead/manager to data scientists, framing and solving ambiguous problems by scoping technical priorities and innovating on statistical methods.
