Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the reliability of Crunchyroll's data infrastructure, directly impacting data service availability and performance.
• Collaborate with data and software engineers to develop and drive 100% automation, deep monitoring, and alerting best practices.
• Identify and eliminate system bottlenecks, leveraging a strong understanding of database internals and performance metrics.
• Lead efforts to keep databases up-to-date, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automate key processes for operational efficiency.
• Define operational requirements, develop incident response processes, and automate monitoring and compliance checks to maintain a secure and reliable data environment.
