• Conduct independent AI and computer science research aligned with your area of expertise
• Support the AI Institute's grantmaking efforts by reading, assessing, and evaluating external funding proposals
• Match research proposals to expert external reviewers and facilitate Schmidt Sciences' funding decisions
• Organize workshops, colloquia, and events to build and support the research community in focus areas
• Represent Schmidt Sciences at external academic conferences and attend gatherings organized for grantees
