Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and manage critical engineering systems to power fast, relevant, and reliable search and retrieval experiences at scale.
• Build scalable, highly-available, high-throughput, highly maintainable systems, deployed in cloud environments.
• Design and build low-latency, high-throughput search APIs, indexing pipelines, and retrieval systems using Python, Typesense, and AWS.
• Evaluate and evolve the search technology stack, driving technical design decisions across retrieval architecture, indexing strategies, and system performance tradeoffs.
• Lead end-to-end work from design and implementation through productionization and customer-facing delivery, including detecting and investigating anomalies.
