Responsibilities

  • Own the physical configuration and packaging of engine assemblies and vehicle subsystems to optimize mass, volume, and cost.
  • Design and route fluid conductors (tubing, flex lines, manifolds) minimizing pressure drop, vibration, and interference.
  • Design and size component mounting hardware, brackets, and secondary structures for flight loads using hand calculations and FEA.
  • Drive layout decisions ensuring compatibility with assembly sequences, technician access, tool clearances, and maintenance workflows.
  • Coordinate with propulsion, avionics, and mechanisms teams to resolve spatial conflicts and manage master configuration models.
