Staff Software Engineer - Product Security

Tech Stack

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure supporting HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 compliance, including identity, authentication, and access management systems.
• Create self-service security tools integrated with developer workflows (GitLab CI/CD, Terraform) and automate policy enforcement, SAST/DAST scans, and compliance verification.
• Lead threat modeling and security architecture reviews for new products, partnering with product and data teams to embed secure-by-default design patterns and ensure secure data handling.
• Implement observability and anomaly detection across microservices, data stores, and SaaS platforms, establishing Zero Trust principles and enforcing least-privilege access.
• Act as Maven’s technical authority for security engineering, mentoring peers and collaborating cross-functionally to align on security strategy.
