Responsibilities
- Perform detailed visual and nondestructive evaluations of weldments and fabricated structures to ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
- Develop welding procedures for specific code requirements and oversee testing for welding certifications.
- Monitor welding processes including GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW to confirm compliance with qualified procedures.
- Evaluate joint design, fit-up, cleanliness, preheat temperatures, and consumable handling prior to and during welding operations.
- Prepare, document, and communicate detailed inspection reports and findings to production and engineering teams.
