Responsibilities
- Design and develop primary and secondary composite airframe structures, from initial layout studies through conceptual and detailed design phases.
- Create and refine 3D models using 3DExperience Composites Part Design (CPD), selecting appropriate methodologies based on manufacturing constraints and program requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (stress, manufacturing, supply-chain) and external fabricators to ensure designs meet specifications, certification, schedule, and manufacturability.
- Implement design modifications and review, validate, and release designs for production, maintaining compliance with certification, airworthiness, and quality standards.
- Apply expertise in composite manufacturing processes and interpret GD&T principles to ensure high-quality designs.
