• Identify and drive transformative initiatives like replatforming model training and serving or redefining how data science ships to production
• Carry complex technical initiatives hands-on from design through production, including distributed model training and serving
• Own the team's technical vision, define engineering best practices, and set the technical direction across the ML platform
• Raise engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, and production readiness checks for ML systems, while mentoring senior engineers
• Connect technical decisions to customer and business outcomes, communicating effectively to build consensus and drive decisions
