- Perform mainframe database software upgrades, administration, and tuning to support CA Datacom environments.
- Develop strategies, processes, and best practices in CA Datacom systems programming and database management.
- Perform database maintenance tasks including definition changes, backups, restores, space monitoring, and reorganizations.
- Create, maintain, and support disaster recovery procedures and emergency database recovery activities.
- Troubleshoot production database issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and interact with vendors for solutions.
