Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the Applied AI backend domain including core services, data models, orchestration systems, and pipeline execution layers.
• Set the technical direction and build high-throughput data and job pipelines with queuing, batching, idempotency, retries, and backpressure.
• Take loosely defined problems, design technical solutions, ship the code, and keep services healthy in production.
• Mentor senior engineers, own the design review bar, and make technical tradeoffs legible to leadership in writing.
• Provision and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform to launch and monitor tens of thousands of containers.
