The chat at /chat is an AI-powered data analysis assistant. Ask natural-language questions about skills, salaries, companies, geographic trends, and more — the assistant queries HiringTrends data in real time and returns structured answers.
Available Tools
The chat assistant has access to 8 query tools that cover different aspects of the hiring market:
- Skill Demand — which skills are most in-demand, trending up or down
- Salary Data — compensation ranges by role, remote status, company size
- Trends — technology adoption curves over time
- Company Insights — who is hiring the most, average salaries, remote rates
- Job Listings — search specific postings by title, company, location
- Culture & Benefits — workplace culture signals, perks, and benefits data
- Geographic Data — salary and hiring data by location
- Role Health — demand scores, salary growth, and remote availability by role

Overage Billing
Pro and Team subscribers can opt in to metered overage. Once your daily included messages are used, additional messages are billed against your overage budget. You can set a spending cap in billing settings.
Getting Started
Navigate to /chat (Pro or Team subscription required). Type a question in the text area and press Enter. The assistant will choose the best tool, query the data, and respond with charts and tables.
