The /profile page lets you upload your resume, save filter sets as saved searches, and generate tailored cover letters and resumes for specific jobs — all powered by AI.

Job Profiles

Job profiles let you save a set of filters (roles, locations, tech, etc.) with optional alert and newsletter toggles. Free users can create 1 profile; Pro users can create up to 10. Profiles are used across the Market dashboard and Job Board to quickly apply your preferred filters.

Resume Upload (Pro)

  1. Go to the /profile page
  2. Upload your resume (PDF or DOCX, max 5MB) or paste the text
  3. Review the AI-parsed attributes (roles, tech, locations, experience, skills)
  4. Select attributes and save them as a saved search

Generating Application Materials

When viewing a job, click "Tailor Resume & Cover Letter" to generate a custom cover letter and tailored resume for that specific role. The AI uses your resume and the job description to highlight relevant experience.

  • Generation takes 5-10 seconds
  • Results are cached — revisiting a job shows saved materials instantly
  • Daily limit: 10 generations per day (resets at midnight UTC)
  • Copy to clipboard or download as text

Managing Materials

All generated materials are saved in Settings → Generated Materials. You can view, download, or bulk-delete them. Jobs with existing materials show a "Materials ready" badge on the job card.

Re-uploading Your Resume

You can upload a new resume at any time from the /profile page. Your existing generated materials are kept (they reference the job, not the resume version). If you want fresh materials, delete the old ones and regenerate.
