Responsibilities

• Contribute to Elasticsearch, building new search features and fixing bugs, sometimes inventing new algorithms or data structures.
• Work with a globally distributed team of experienced engineers focused on Elasticsearch search capabilities.
• Be an expert on Elasticsearch search relevance, identifying and driving improvements in this area.
• Work with community members on issues and pull requests, triaging and resolving them as needed.
• Write idiomatic modern Java, as Elasticsearch is primarily Java-based.
