Responsibilities

• Design and evolve GitLab's internal systems architecture across business, application, data, and technology lenses with AI integrated as a core consideration.
• Serve as the embedded architect for Applications engineering teams, producing high-level designs and integration patterns for platforms like Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora, and Zendesk.
• Architect secure data flows across operational and analytical planes, establishing retrieval and grounding patterns for AI and ensuring SOX and privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with Security and Infrastructure teams to design robust authentication, authorization, and service-to-service access systems.
• Create detailed technical designs, reference patterns, and proofs of concept to resolve complex engineering bottlenecks and reduce technical debt.
